Stamford, Vote!

I voted! I am so proud of myself. My voting place (a school gym, of course) was disappointingly empty. I know 6:45 am is early, but when I went at that time in Southfield, the place was jammed. Maybe that was a fall election, but still. I'm a little disappointed in the people of the mid-Ridges. It's possible we're a smaller group than my Southfield 'hood, but I expected to be blown away by the number of enthusiastic voters. Oh well.
Have fun voting today, and don't forget to get your "I Voted" sticker. It's fun to have a good reason to look dorky.

I was at the polls at 6:00 am and waited in a line! I was annoyed that I didn't even get my sticker!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat you didn't get your sticker? Had they run out? I swear, that little sticker is important; it shows off that you are a good citizen. I had to ASK for my sticker; no one offered it. Then again, maybe others aren't as big a fan of stickers as I am.

What area of Stamford did you vote in?

No, they certainly weren't offering them and now I wish I had asked!

I'm in district 2. I voted at the temple on Strawberry Hill Road.

Well, you'll get your sticker in November! I'm trying to figure out why the sticker matters to me, and I think it's because it makes me feel like a part of the community AND a part of the national process. This election's gonna be a doozy.

Go to messagebot.com. Adam from adamsworld.blogspot helped me with that. It's quick and gives you the code to post as a widget.

But you REMEMBERED you didn't get the sticker. See, the sticker DOES matter to you.

Voting District 10 here, I voted mid-afternoon (around 3pm) and I was the only person in the gym. I too was disappointed that the energy that seemed to exist in other places wasn't present here in Stamford.

I did get my sticker though, and wore it for the remainder of the day at the office.
