This snippet from the Greenwich Time's gossip column made me think about what celebs I need to be keeping a better eye out for: Pound Ridge, N.Y., residents and actors Richard Gere and Carrie Lowell were seen at the Avon Theatre in Stamford on March 31.
I've started a list of local celebs:
Regis Philbin
Gene Wilder
Stephanie Seymour
Tom Bergeron of Dancing With the Stars
Who else should I be looking out for in the Greenwich/Stamford area... besides the visiting celebs who always go to Napa and Co?

I saw Regis and Joy while dining at Valbella. Regis was chatting up half the dining room.
I saw Tom Bergeron with his daughter twice - once at Cos Cob Starbucks, once at Boxcar Cantina.
I was a fan of Tom Bergeron when he was a DJ at WHEB-FM in Portsmouth, NH in the early eighties, and stopped to chat with him - really nice guy, seems like a great dad.
Brian Cashman, Bobby Valentine, Chris Russo, Harry Connick Jr., Jill Goodacre, Paul Simon, Martha Stewart, Lee Mazilli, Ron Howard.
Yankee Mark Teixeira, former Met Bobby Bonilla, Steve Young, Vince and other various McMahons, 50 Cent (allegedly).
I wonder where Jerry Springer will settle down when his show starts taping.
I saw Gene Wilder at Coldstone Creamery on High Ridge once...
We see Gene Wilder walking in N.Stamford all the time with his wife. We used to see him walking with Gilda Radner even when she was going thru chemo. No one ever botherd them. He was such a devoted husband to her and we will always wish him only good things. He and his new wife are very much active members of our Stamford community.
I saw Judge Judy a bunch of times at the chase in Greenwich.
I once helped Mike Meyers (SNL, Austin Powers) when I worked at Tower Records. I understand he's a Pound Ridge guy?
Oh, cool, so there's hope I'll see Mike Myers out? I do also keep the eyes peeled for Gene Wilder. I'll add Paul Simon and Ron Howard to my list (my brain can only handle a few famous people to look out for). Thanks for the tips!
Unfortunately, I do not know what all these baseball players look like, as I did not grow up in this area.
If I saw 50 Cent, I might freak out. That would be the most exciting sighting for me!
I wonder if he twitters....
How about Larry Hoff?
Kathie Lee and Frank Gifford are probably more around Greenwich, but they count. I think they just did a double book talk at the Avon. she is a long time favorite of mine which I have remembered since she took over the 10AM Today Show slot.
Gene Wilder, of course...he used to walk across Chestnut Hill Rd and go to Kotobuki...not sure what his path is these days.
And if you go as far as Westport and Wilton there is Keith Richard and his family.
Theres more, I'm sure...it will come to me...
But surely no one is more famous than our very own Stamford Talk and Baby Talk?(...in my little world of blogs anyway...;-)
I've seen Joe Pantoliano now and then around Norwalk now and then.
